Projet apparemment simple dans un contexte complexe : il s’agissait de réhabiliter un ancien bâtiment public pour en faire un centre d’archives départemental. Entre l’ancien et le contemporain, l’articulation est devenue un enjeu architectural et environnemental. En plus des techniques utilisées pour le traitement de l’air et la gestion de l’hygrométrie, une réflexion bioclimatique a apporté une qualité de lumière à la salle de lecture tout en réduisant les effets du facteur solaire sur les façades.

This is a seemingly simple project within a complicated context. It involves rehabilitating an old public building in order to make an archive center for the department. The combination of old and contemporary has become an architectural and environmental challenge. Air treatment and humidity management techniques were implemented in the structure. A bioclimatic approach was used to provide optimum light to the reading room while at the same time reducing the negative effects of the sun on the façade.
